Introducing the Brand New Team Stony Tennis ACE Programe – Launching 1st June!

Hi Team Stony Tennis,

After 6 months of planning and development, I’m incredibly excited to share some big news…
From 1st June, we’re officially launching the Team Stony Tennis ACE Programme – a brand-new coaching structure designed to deliver greater clarity, consistency, and progression across all ages and abilities.

What is the ACE Programme?
ACE stands for Aspire, Commit, Excel – three clear pathways that reflect every player’s journey in tennis:

• Aspire – For players aged 3 to adult who are new to tennis, building core skills, or enjoying the game recreationally.
  
  
• Commit – For players aged 5 to adult who train regularly, compete with confidence, and are committed to improving long-term.
  
  
• Excel – For players aged 9 to 18 who compete at county, regional, national, or international level and are fully dedicated to performance tennis.
  
  

This programme will replace our current Development and Competition structure, bringing everything under one, unified pathway that’s easier to follow and more transparent for everyone.
What does this mean for you?

• There’s nothing you need to do right now – if you're already part of our programme, your session time stays the same.
  
  
• Behind the scenes, we’ll be reorganising groups based on age and ability to align with the new ACE framework.
  
  
• From 1st June, coaches will begin delivering new lesson plans, award systems, and tracking tools to help players (and parents) understand progress and next steps more clearly.
  
  

Why this change?
We’re passionate about providing the best coaching environment possible. The ACE Programme will:

• Improve how we plan and deliver lessons across all age groups.
  
  
• Make progression more visible and meaningful for players and parents.
  
  
• Help our coaching team maintain a high standard with shared expectations and training.
  
  

In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more information about the content of the sessions and how the tracking and awards system works. If you have any questions in the meantime, I’m always here to help.
